The Standards Steering Group is a committee of the Senate’s Secretariat. It ensures that the Society has rigorous and responsive quality assurance and enhancement frameworks and standards. Specifically,
- to develop and implement appropriate qualitative and quantitative indicators of performance in the areas of knowledge management
- to advise the Board on priority areas for evaluation and quality assurance and enhancement in the Society’s operational activities
- to develop procedures that ensures a routine developmental cycle of reflection, innovation, monitoring and feedback operates in both the Senate’s and Soceity’s operational activities
- to make recommendations to the Board on appropriate actions to improve the quality of managing knowledge
- to investigate claims raised by the Forum’s membership on issues relating to the Forum’s publications and Internet content, and recommend corrective actions if necessary
- to monitor the quality and reliability of the Society’s publications
- to monitor the work of the Senate Standing Committees to ensure it aligns with the Society’s constitution
- to establish and maintain procedures for communication to ensure that the Forum’s management and staff are kept informed of quality assurance initiatives and outcomes
The Steering Group has the following membership:
- Provost who is the Chair
- One (1) Vice-Provost as Co-Chair
- Ten (10) members from the Senate for a two year term
- One (1) full-time member from each of the Forum’s business divisions for a two year term
