The Learning Steering Group is a committee of the Senate’s Secretariat. It is responsible for organizing and running the Forum’s conferences, symposiums, and work shops. Specifically, it
- identifies the lead Standing Committee to host conferences, symposiums, and work shops
- appoints the Chair of the lead Standing Committee as the conference chair
- prepares the agendas
- finds speakers
- prepares the financial plan
- finds sponsors
The Learning Steering Group has the following membership:
- Provost who is the Chair
- One (1) Vice-Provost as Co-Chair
- Society’s President
- Remainder of the Society’s Managing Directors
- Ten (10) members from the Senate for a two year term
- Eleven (11) members from the lead Standing Committee
